On-line and Desktop version of Glip is not syncing

I have been having the same issue and cannot resolve.  Please tell me there is a fix?  When I have team members use glip (online version) or if I get an email notification that a Glip has been posted, I go to Glip desktop and that Glip task does not exist.  However, when I sign on Glip via on-line.  The task is there?  I have missed many important messages/glips because of this issue.  Please tell me that this is an easy fix?
