1.Account type  (U.S., Canada, UK,  AT&T, Telus, BT)
Us Based Account

2.A brief description of the business
Professional Liability insurance consisting of Underwriting, Claims, Risk Management and IT.

3.A high level description of the product or feature being requested
Was curious with the OFfice 365 integration if I receive a call using Microsoft Teams that my RingCentral for Windows client would realize I was on a call and mark me as busy or unavailable.

4.A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature
I often use Microsoft Teams since it's included in our Office 365 subscription.  It's tied to SharePoint etc.  It's just the most convenient.  But we are now starting to use it to make calls, do screensharing etc.  It would be nice if RingCentral realized you were on a Teams Calls and showed you as unavailable.  I often and so do most of our users when using Microsoft Teams.  But, this would also be convenient when we join audio from our Computers for a Webex, Zoom or GoToMeeting.

5.Benefit of such feature
User's wouldn't have to remember to put their phones on DND or unavailable.  It would all happen automatically.  Then turn off after a meeting using Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom or GoToMeeting ended.

6.Include any related case number if applicable

7.Number of Users and/or Digital Lines
We have about 135 users

have 2 accounts expressing interest --- one is 650 users and the other is 2000 users -- glip is great but having Teams integration is key especially when an account already has it

Teams need the Phone System add-on (or E5) to enable the dial-pad. There's no workaround, it's a Microsoft limitation I'm afraid. It's possible to add phone system to the Business Essentials/Premium though if this helps..

Hi Mark. Will this integration app work with the RingCentral Contact Center product? Specifically the website to call center employee chat feature?

Hi Everett. Teams will become a softphone on your RingCentral extension(s) so a user can make/receive calls on Teams as they would a desk phone with their DiD & extension numbers unchanged. The integration doesn't go beyond this level so I don't expect the Chat feature in Contact Center to have any interaction with Teams; a user will probably need to keep the CC client running.

Hi StAvedro Tokatlyan. The service will work with E3 and we have customers using our service with the lower Office 365 SKUs also (Business premium and Business essentials). You will need the additional Phone System add-on from Office 365 to enable the dial pad, you can purchase this with your E3 licence from the O365 admin portal.

Would also be nice if you could use Ringcentral as the PSTN solution as Teams supports microsoft's own (crappy) PSTN solution.

Have 115 users who would really benefit from this. I see this as a must have for ring central if they want to stay competitive and remain the leader in voip telecommunications. Teams isn’t a Microsoft product that is going away.

My team would benefit from this as well. It would be useful to expand the integration to have options for your Teams status to update RingCentral or for your RingCentral status to update Teams. My group would benefit more from having their Teams status update to 'busy' if they are on a call.

The lack of Teams integration is causing me to explore options other than Ring Central for two companies that have been on the RC platform for almost 10 years.

Hi Caleb, can you email me please? info @ qunfi.com so we can discuss pricing and where you can purchase in your region. Are you US based? the phone system has an MSP of $8 there. Mark

Thanks Mark.  MSP pricing is all I need for now.  Love what you guys have enabled, however, it's a very hard sell to add $20/us/mo, just for Teams integration.   This may work in the enterprise market where budgets are big and where they already have E5 licensing, but it's close to a non-starter in the SMB market.  You end up paying for two PBX systems and at that point, start to question... do I really need RingCentral + Call2teams or do I just do MS phone system calling?  You guys should put out some info on comparing MS calling solution to the other systems you support to show the actual value in buying 2 PBX's.

it's a valid point, but you don't have to provide to all users. There will be an $8 uplift from Microsoft and around half that for Call2Teams so for the users that really need it, it can be justified. RingCentral provides a lot of other value and integrations that you get to keep and isn't available in MS Phone system. Also expect to see MS doing something for SME later this year on pricing.

Thanks Mark, good to know MS may change their pricing structure.  We are currently on Business Premium.  What do you mean by an $8 uplift from Microsoft and half that for Call2Teams?  For us, the value would be in everyone having it, not just a handful.
