Hey guys I just got RingCentral, I really like it. Only thing is I also have SugarCRM and none of my employees log their calls. Is there any solution that automatically adds calls to contacts and leads in the crm?

Hey Scott!
I am one of the founders and lead engineer. Short and sweet answer. Yes. Callinize provides a SugarCRM and RingCentral integration where you can get inbound screen popups that look like the attached image. This will popup in any browser tab you are on, not just SugarCRM. All of your calls will get logged and you end up with some pretty awesome analytics too. We offer a free trial so check it out.

Does this work through a browser extension, and can it integrate with the Polycom vvx phones?

Yes. This is a browser extension.
Yes. In fact, I just got off a call with a customer where we setup their Polycom VVX 500 phones.

We currently support Google Chrome and have plans to expand to Firefox and IE. Because it is an extension every phone number on any website you go to is clickable, not just SugarCRM records. For example,
You can go on Dunn & Bradstreet and click phone numbers
You can go on LinkedIN and click phone numbers
You can click phone numbers directly off Google.
My email is patrick@callinize.com if you want a demonstration. We have several RingCentral customers and just recently had a conversation with their business development team.

Guys following up here for all that is looking for a awesome solution to bridge your phone system to SugarCRM... I used the free trial callinize.com has and got my CRM talking to my phone system in no time at all. I love this solution so far and its going to save our company hundreds per month just in license fees and maintenance. Before finding this solution we thought about spending thousands to migrate our data to Microsoft CRM and dialer and now we can leave everything alone and just add users to our existing SuagrCRM.

can this use Google Voice as the "phone" in question, using the Ringcentral / Sugar / Callinize integration?

Hello Mark, Unless he chimes in here, you might try emailing Patrick at the address he posted above.

While Callinize looks great for intensive applications, is there an elegant way to just sync SugarCRM contacts into RingCentral? This would be very helpful but we couldn't justify the per user cost of an additional service just for this
