I'd settle for google contacts syncing, but Zapier integration would make Ring Central way more efficient and powerful!

We have just launched the Beta RingCentral Zapier Integration. Although I don't see a trigger or an action for Contacts or Address Book in RingCentral, but that doesn't mean it is impossible to achieve. You could create an application, use some custom code in Zapier to make a GET/POST request to our API and facilitate this use-case.
There currently isn't a public API resource to support CRUD operations with your RingCentral Account's Address Book, but if you're building an integration with RingCentral using the Developer Platform, we can enable the Address Book feature of the Extension API resource for your application. If you're interested in having this feature turned on for your application either create a new developer support case in Developer Portal, or send an email to devSupport@ringcentral.com.
The next thing I was going to try was to create contacts in Ring Central directly, but it sounds like that may not work based on what you're saying. It's too bad because it's a huge pain point for us. Not being able to synch contacts with each other or with our company google contacts makes CRM a circus of redundant data entry and wasted hourly administrative pay.
I'm not technical at all. Zapier is at the edge of my "system integrations" abilities :). We don't have the budget to hire custom development either. Like a lot of tiny companies, we string together the best web apps we can, and plug the gaps with heaps of manual tasks.
Having said all that I'm still really excited about the Zapier integration. I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon figuring out how to automate the stuff my staff is currently wasting time on manually!
As customers share more needs they have of the beta Zapier integration, we will consider these based on demand to improve the RingCentral Beta Zapier integration...Rome wasn't built in a day. :)
It's a bit of a Rube Goldberg solution, but Zoho CRM is $12.00/month. I'd pay that in a heartbeat to avoid 3-4hrs per month of manual contact synching for my staff.
Anybody ever try this?

I just found out that it won't work for me though. You have to have a Ring Central Office Premium or Ring Central Office Enterprise account. I'm just a lowly Ring Central ProPlus user :(
Back to the drawing board. There's bound to be a way.
We currently do not offer the Address Book (Contact) as part of our Zapier integration (so you'd be blocked by that), and to gain permission to use the beta Address Book, you would need to have a dedicated developer to build a custom integration to solve your use-case.
But that doesn't mean you're left out in the cold on all of this...
1. We'll consider adding Address Book (Contact) support to Zapier.
2. If you can find a developer, we'll can work with enrolling you in the dev program, but you + your developer would need to do development.
Is that something you'd be interested in pursuing?
I think my best bet will be to wait and see if Address Book gets linked to Zapier.

We need API sync for our Address book. Can you please give us access to the API. Currently we are using zendesk and it is fully sync, but we are trying to switch over to RingCentral. But only thing that is missing is this contact sync with the team.
Please get back to me and let's implement this for our case. We have dedicated developer and our system is very robust and agile, so we can adapt things very quickly.
