Get both voicemail content and recorded call content from the call log API

I'm working on an automatic backup solution for both voice mail recordings and call recordings. I can get recorded call content in the call log using the "recording" section (call log API). I can also get the recorded content of voicemails using the message API. But what I would like to know is whether or not there is a way I can access voice mail recording content from the call log. If there is a voice mail, I see the call within the call log, but I don't see any way to get the uri to download the content from that call log. I can get it from the message store api, but it would be cleaner if I could pull both voice mail recordings as well as call recordings from the same place (call log). Does anyone know if that is possible?

It would even be helpful if there is a way to use the call id from the call log to get the message from the message store. But as it stands, right now I have to make a separate call to the message store to get a separate id (different than the call id) for the message that came from that call.

Thanks!

Currently, our API does not support the use case of having a single API request which can map between Call Log records and Message Store items (VoiceMail Recordings).

If you would like to see this feature added as part of our API, I can change the category for this post to an Idea instead of a Question if you'd like?

Sure, that would be great if you could change it to an idea. Thanks for responding. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I have converted this conversation thread to Idea and placed it as "Under Consideration".
