Automatically transcribe call recording

Currently Ring Central offers visual voicemail which transcribes the message to text. They also offer call recording. We would like ring central to extend the visual voicemail speech-to-text to recorded calls. This would allow us to apply searches to this data to look for specific issues or run it through keyword based sentiment analysis etc.

Added bonus if this data is automatically saved to the salesforce log a call record.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your idea! I think our engineering team is working on that. While waiting for the feature to be integrated into our system, customers can use speech-to-text service from other providers such as VoiceBase, IBM bluemix etc. to do the transcription. Let me know if you would like to explore the possibility to build an app that accesses to your company's call recording and uses IBM Bluemix to do the transcription and finally saves the transcript to salesforce or any database.

Some of my colleagues have done a PoC project: transcribe voicemail and same the text to salesforce. The idea is the same for call recording. The challenge is third-party speech-to-text accurate rate is too low for production. Let me check if I can get more updates for this PoC project.

any progress on transcribing recorded calls?  I tested with a ring central Mp3 on a call with a fair amount of noise and the transcription was perfect.  If i can skip a 3rd party app, that would be best.  But like the temi platform
