'Auto answer sip calls' - enhancement idea

I've been messing around with some preferences on the polycom vx410 phone. And discoverred the 'auto answer sip calls' feature. I flipped it to yes... and it did exactly that. It answered a Ring Out api call automatically without having to pick up the phone.

That's really cool, especially when you tell the api to bypass 1... you have a direct ringout!!! Something I've been trying to build out using the C# sdk.

The downside is when an incoming call happens (outside client calling me)... the phone automatically answers. This is a problem. You don't want the phone answering an incoming call when you're not available.

It also did came across funky with my ring central app. It did some double dialing/connecting. Once I uninstalled the app... the double dialing/connecting went away.

My idea is if you guys could enhance this 'auto answer sip calls' feature and put an option of auto answer outbound call direction types. You guys can essentially market that your Ringout api can act as a direct ringout. Something that your competiton does already.

Throwing more ideas onto this thread...

Looking at some more RC apis... there's the call for extension permissions and features. What if there was an POST or PUT to flip this 'auto answer sip calls' to Yes/No.

If that were the case... I could totally have my application flip this flag make the direct ringout... then flip it back to false, with the anticipation that an inbound call might ring to the phone.

I understand there may be a bit more complexity to how RC connects to the phone, but it definitely seems like a preference that should be able to be controlled via the APIs.
